Regional Sales Manager
ROLE
You will be responsible for selling CropZilla Software as a SaaS solution to large grain farming operations in your territory. This is a consultative sales role in which you will be expected to serve as a trusted business advisor to our customers and help them make better business decisions using our software. The ideal person for this role is creative, energetic, independent and performance-driven.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and qualify pipeline of sales prospects
- Exceed quarterly and annual targets for new client sales and renewals
- Support customers during the implementation and training phase
- Work with our customers throughout the year to ensure they are deriving maximum value from the product and will renew the annual subscription
- Provide customer feedback to our Product Management team and contribute your own ideas for enhancements
- Effectively manage schedule and travel budget while working independently from your home office and in-person customer visits
- Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption of CropZilla
- Collaborate with other members of our team – Customer Success, Product Management, Business Development, Marketing and Engineering
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Solid understanding of farm operations with a background in farming technologies
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a focus on customer success
- 5+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of quota attainment. Proven “hunter” background and able to sell to business owners and decision makers
- A degree in Agribusiness is preferred, but not required
- Previous SaaS sales experience a plus
- Strong listening skills to carefully and effectively processes complex customer requirements on both business and technical standpoints to develop compelling value propositions
- Independent thinking with good judgment skills and a record of problem-solving
- Good business acumen, experience with basic contracts and pricing
- Excellent business writing, oral communication and interpersonal skills. Able to ask great questions
- Strong in PowerPoint and Excel. Expert at demonstrating software virtually and in person
- Willingness to travel 30%-50% of the time
